I camped out for two nights to be in the front row of College Gameday :) And these were the fun adventures I had. I learned to play dominoes Dominican Republic style with the same boys who lent me a one man tent. It's a good thing I had a tent the second night because it poured....And the sign I'm making in the picture...got left out in the rain so I didn't actually get to take it in the Gameday. But it was still fun to make and be there!

Lots of Fun on Halloween :)
I got to go on a super fun date last night and it was an absolutely perfect fall date. We carved pumpkins and ate these delicious apples. Barry came up with this "Apple Surprise" and it is actually an amazing idea. You carve out the core of an apple from the top and leave some of the core left in then stuff it full of whatever you want. He called for butter and brown sugar but some of us decided that oatmeal would be a great addition and I added some peanut butter. It was delicious!! So mine was a healthy treat :) Oh I forgot after you stuff it, you just put it in the oven for fifteen minutes and bam! a wonderful dessert.
Our pumpkin carving was very fun. Reed and I chose a tough outline but I think we pulled it off rather nicely. Plus we won the award for best pumpkin :) It was really nice to go out and Reed was a wonderful date. Pictures speak it best :)

Well I'm gonna ride it all night long
This past Saturday I ran in a 5k with Barry and some of his friends/roommates. It was so much fun to run with a bunch of friends. We had a wonderful time. The course was a trail run and it was up by the Timpinogos Temple, meaning there were lots of hills. I powered through them though and actually got a faster time than my first 5k. SO at least I'm improving :) I still want to run a marathon eventually. Hopefully with all this running I do my training will just come easy. At the end of the race they had a raffle drawing and I won a free Jamba Juice. Not a huge prize by hey, it's something right? I was pretty excited. Well that's all for now!

We all know how much our family loves the elf one at Christmas time but I stumbled upon this the other day and had to make it. I especially like Mara, Rachel and Brooke's faces :)

PARTY IN THE USA
Last night Vanessa (my roommate) and I went to see Miley Cyrus in concert. You may chuckle because we went but I'll have you know I actually love Miley/Hannah. I think she has good songs-good messages and fun to dance to, plus shes not scandalous.
Anyways I've been so pumped to attend this concert because she's my new favorite. I could hardly wait when we were sitting in the Arena. Miley came out and sang two songs, she started a third when suddenly she sprinted to the back of the stage and disappeared. her back up singers finished out the song and then a man came on the microphone to tell us that Miley had the flu and would be out shortly.
I felt so bad for her because the little time she was on stage she looked like she felt awful. It was almost painful for me to watch her force herself to dance and sing. It points she was doubled over but she tried really hard to make it look natural with her dancing but I could tell it was not. Anyways, needless to say it wasn't the best concert I've ever attended but I think if she would have been on her game it would have been the best.
I just realized how celebrities are just normal people too. They get sick too and the entire concert I just kept wondering how Miley felt. I'm sure it was painful to be up there and to disappoint so many who had come to see you. It was really fun and I'm so glad I went! here is a picture of me with my real awesome shirt:

Virginia Pines :)
It's already August and I haven't even written about Vienna, Virginia yet! Well I went to go visit Katie in Virginia and let's just say--it was exactly the trip I needed :) I think it is best said in pictures so this is what I did:
One of the first days I was there Ted came and picked me up from Katie's and we drove around his town of Manassas. Here is Ted in a cute little alley in Old Town Manassas :) I liked this cute thing for some reason.
Katie and I went and got some Sushi-yeah I ate sushi! And I liked it :) Actually I just ate the California rolls, Katie on the other hand-is shown about to eat eel. Sick huh?

The night after I tried Sushi I was even braver and tried Korean food. It wasn't too terrible but I wouldn't choose to eat that all the time. Here Katie and I are pretending to be Korean haha, we're kinda mean..
Here Katie, Ted and I are pictured in front of the WWII Memorial. I really like this memorial.
This one is a classic. Brandon sent me a letter a month or so ago and had a picture similar to this one...except his was the Provo Temple haha. Well I had to return the favor and the Washington Monument seemed perfect for it.

Katie and I in front of the National Art Gallery (my favorite place in DC for sure) I spent at least 12 hours in that museum, talk about a dream come true haha.

I just liked this one :) Obviously I didn't post all of the pictures but other than what is shown I got to sketch Katie's home town-Vienna. I went in to DC by myself a few days-riding the metro is quite an adventure. Katie and I ate too much fruit and learned about Gluten Free foods (Katie's stomach can't take gluten so she eats gluten free). DC was so fun and I'm so glad I went, it was nice to have some fun rather than just working all summer long!
